![]() ![]() Miguel has an enhanced fast-healing metabolism, and enhanced sensory acuity enabling him to see in the dark, at great distances, and track fast-moving objects clearly however, he is more sensitive to light than normal humans. Both forearms contain spinerettes capable of releasing adhesive strands of a webbing-like substance from the backs of his wrists. His fingers and toes have retractable talons used for climbing walls and rending substances as durable as cinderblock. He has enlarged canine teeth (fangs) which can secrete paralyzing venom. Genetically imprinted with spider DNA, Miguel has superhuman strength (lifting 10 tons under optimal conditions), speed, stamina, reflexes and agility, and enhanced durability. So, Miguel tries to genetically reset his body but his experiment is sabotaged by his jealous supervisor, Aaron Delgato, accidentally endowing Miguel with fantastic spider-like abilities. Once the drug binds to his system, he would need it for the rest of his life, and since only Alchemax legally sells the drug, Miguel is forced to continue employment at Alchemax or buy the drug through the black market. He quits Alchemax after they fatally use a criminal as a test subject to expedite research, but is told that Tyler Stone poisoned him with an addictive drug called Rapture for quitting. ![]() Confident and smugly self-assured, Miguel then becomes project head of the genetics program for Alchemax, performing research inspired by Peter Parker, AKA Spider-Man, of the Heroic Age involving alterations of animals’ genetic structure. Years later as young adults, Miguel and Xina date until Miguel cheats on her with Gabriel’s girlfriend, Dana D’Angelo. With Xina’s encouragement, Miguel musters the bravery to have Kron expelled from the school. Here he befriends Xina Kwan, who helps Miguel defend himself against the bullying of Kron Stone, son of Alchemax’s Vice President of Research and Development, Tyler Stone. Brilliant and precocious, Miguel is awarded enrollment in the Alchemax School for Gifted Youngsters (formerly the X-Men’s Headquarters) in Westchester under the fair direction of headmistress Angela Daskalakis. ![]() Young Miguel O’Hara hails from the alternate universe of Earth-928, during a future time after the end of the “Heroic Age.” He grows up with his eccentric mother, Conchata, younger brother Gabriel, and the abusive man he believes to be his father, George. He sees an opportunity to protect ordinary people against abusive corporations, and decides to use his powers for good and become Spider-Man of the year 2099. Delete the corresponding herosiege.pas file, and repeat.Prodigy-level geneticist Miguel O’Hara gives himself spider-like abilities in an experiment gone wrong. Save & Exit, then open that slot’s herosiege.pas file and look at the itemN and item_collectedN values to see what has changed from 0 to 1. Start a new game, with a new character, and make note of which relic you got. One way to do this is to give yourself a bunch of random items in shop.ini: Though they’re not obvious which numbers belong to which relic, so you’d have to figure it through some trial and error. The other thing you can change on an ‘active’ character is what relics you’ve found, and are equipped with. Something else to change is all the potion_n lines to 1.000000 so that all the potions are now identified, and there’s no guesswork or praying that you get a positive bonus from them. You can increase by increments of 50 to find a good speed for yourself. A good starting value for this is 100 not too fast, not too slow. A very useful number to change of course is your speed, so you’re not running around slow as balls for half of the game. There are various other things you can change here too if you load your character and then Save & Exit, that current game session’s values such as speed, gold, wave number, and the number of keys will be loaded the next time you continue your game. Talent_1 is your level 1 talent, talent_2 is your level 6 talent, etc. Strength, swiftness, armor, and stamina are self-explanatory. So the first slot is herosiege0.pas, second slot herosiege1.pas, etc. The herosiegeN.pas files refer to the character save slots. Depending on how many save files you have, you will see one or more “ herosiegeN.pas” files, as well as “shop.ini”. ![]()
